I am an avid walker in the woods and I enjoy finding new plants and flowers. Woodland flowers are ephemeral and reflect the wildness that is within all of us. When I find a flower on a walk I like to sit with it, paint it, and allow myself to decompress time. The practice of collecting paintings of these flowers reminds me to keep slowing down to perfect my vision, even as the world seems to want to push me faster and faster.
I am creating new paintings and writings for a new collaborative book that focuses on the importance of walking in wild spaces and slowing down amidst our ever changing world. If you would like to donate to my effort in painting and writing this book, please make a donation today. If you would like to contribute your own painting, drawing, or writing to the book please contact me! I appreciate your support as always!
